Aerial Crop Scanning & Field Imaging
Aerial imagery and crop scanning that shows you what's happening across every acre — paired with your application work or flown standalone.
Get a quoteWhat aerial crop scanning is
Aerial crop scanning captures high-resolution imagery of your fields from a drone flying a mapped grid. We use multispectral and RGB sensors to read crop health, stand counts, stress patterns, and field variability that you simply can't see from the ground or a pickup truck.
The output is a geo-referenced picture of the field — not a single photo, but a layered map that can be paired with your spray or seed application so you can verify the work and plan the next pass with real data.
Imaging adds value across nearly every California crop, including:
Why drones beat ground scouting and manned aircraft
Whole-field view
A drone captures the entire field in one pass — no walking rows or guessing from the edge.
Multispectral crop health
Near-infrared and NDVI layers reveal stress and variability weeks before it shows up visually.
Wet-field access
Fly right after irrigation or rain when the ground is too soft to scout on foot or by rig.
No compaction
Imaging is zero-impact — no tires, no passes, no damage to the crop or soil.
Lower cost than manned aircraft
No plane, pilot, or airstrip — drone imaging is far more affordable for small and mid-size acreage.
Paired with application
See what we saw, not just what we sprayed — imagery before and after documents the work.
Licensed, insured, and compliant
Our imaging flights are operated under the same commercial drone standards as our application work.
- ●FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for every operator
- ●FAA Part 137 Agricultural Aircraft Operator Certificate
- ●FAA Section 44807 exemption for commercial drone operations
- ●CADPR-licensed operator (License No. 47312)
- ●Liability insurance for every flight
- ●Geo-referenced imagery delivered with flight records
We serve growers across Central California and the Central Coast:
Do I need imaging if I am not spraying?
No — aerial scanning can be flown standalone to scout crop health, plan inputs, or document field conditions at any point in the season.
What do I actually receive?
You receive geo-referenced high-resolution imagery, crop-health layers such as NDVI where useful, and a simple map you can view on any device.
How soon can you image my field?
Most jobs in our core counties can be scheduled within a few days, weather permitting.
Can you fly right after irrigation?
Yes — because the drone flies above the field, we can image wet ground that no rig or person could walk.
